Tyler Russell is a 23 year-old personality currently on-air every weekday afternoon on The Desert's All New Crush 1039 in Palm Springs, CA.

Tyler was raised in Tucson and moved to California in 2007 to begin a broadcast career, majoring in Multi-Media Journalism at Chapman University. He was named "most promising DJ" as a freshman and became General Manager of the station by junior year. He worked at K-EARTH 101, HOT 92.3, and KIIS FM in Los Angeles before becoming the night jock on KCLB in 2010.

At KCLB, he grew the target demographic (Males 18-54) from a 1.8 to a 6.9 share and tied for #1 English-speaking night show. He grew persons 12+ from a 3.6 to a 5.4 share.

In December 2011, Tyler accepted a promotion within the Morris Media cluster of Palm Springs stations as the Assistant Program Director and Afternoon Personality on a start-up Hot AC called Crush 1039, targeting the 25-54 year-old female. He can also been seen on a recurring segment called "Weekly Buzz" on the CBS Local 2 morning show in Palm Springs.
